Shakhtar Donetsk winger Manor Solomon could well change clubs during the January transfer window, according to his agent.
The Israeli international has been heavily linked with Arsenal and Aston Villa over the past year, with reports in June claiming that he was available for around £21m. However, his representative, Shlomi Ben Ezra, says that while offers were rejected for the player in the summer, he expects something to happen in the New Year:
“Last summer, Shakhtar refused any offer, but it could only be a matter of time. I am confident that he can aspire to very high levels and that he can play in another city next year. We will see in January where the team will be. There will be opportunities being a market window.”
It seems unlikely that the Gunners will revive their interest in Solomon, considering they do have the likes of Bukayo Saka, Nicolas Pepe, Emile Smith Rowe and Gabriel Martinelli who can all play out wide.
However, there have been stories in recent days linking the London club with Club Brugge’s Noa Lang so perhaps technical director Edu and manager Mikel Arteta are looking to strengthen their options in that area. We shall see if they do make a move for Solomon when the transfer window reopens.
