Arsenal have permanently promoted five youngsters to the first-team setup, according to Football.London‘s Gunners correspondent Chris Wheatley.

Fans will recognise two of the names, Charlie Patino and Miguel Azeez, who have both already made their senior debuts for the club, but there are three others that they will be less aware of.

Mazeed Ogungbo is a Republic of Ireland Under 20 international defender. The 19-year-old made the bench for the 3-0 defeat to Crystal Palace at the start of last week.

Marcelo Flores has also been moved to train with the senior players at London Colney. The attacking midfielder has actually been capped by Mexico, coming on as a substitute in the 2-2 draw against Chile back in December.

Lino Sousa only joined from West Brom in January but the left-back, who is English with Brazilian heritage, has clearly done enough to impress manager Mikel Arteta. It could spell danger for Nuno Tavares if the 17-year-old is even picked ahead of the Portuguese defender.
