Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain have both shown interest in Lazio attacking midfielder Joaquin Correa, but neither club are prepared to meet his valuation, according to reports in Italy.

Lazio president Claudio Lotito has slapped a €50m (£43m) asking price on the 26-year-old, but it is thought to be negotiable with the Serie A side waiting to see what offers will be tabled.

Correa is not believed to fit into new manager Maurizio Sarri’s system, while it is said that funds from the Argentinian’s potential sale could be used to finance deals for other players.

The player himself has also expressed an interest in moving to the Premier League, with Everton and Spurs also having been linked with the midfielder. He even stated back in May that he is already taking English lessons ahead of a possible transfer.

Arsenal are still searching for a playmaker, after losing out on a number of other targets, so we shall see if they do firm up their interest in Correa.
