Fiorentina are expected to press ahead with the signing of Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira on a permanent basis, according to the Corriere Dello Sport (via Get Italian Football News).
The Serie A club has an option to buy the Uruguayan international for €15m (£12.6m) in their loan deal and it is believed they will look to trigger their purchase clause within the next few days.
Torreira was signed by the Gunners from Sampdoria for £26m in 2018 but, after an impressive debut campaign, his form began to drop off and he was sent out on loan to Atletico Madrid last season.
After failing to do enough to get a permanent switch to Spain, an agreement was reached with Fiorentina last August, and he has put in a string of good performances that have convinced the Viola to sign him.
There has been some speculation that the Italian club may look to negotiate the transfer fee, but it seems as though they are now happy with the original agreed price.
