Arsenal are among the “four suitors” for Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix, according to Cadena SER (via AS).
The Portuguese international is unhappy about his lack of game time at the Wando Metropolitano and his agent Jorge Mendes is already looking for potential clubs ahead of the January transfer window.
As well as the Gunners, three other Premier League teams are said to be in contention for Felix, including Manchester United, Liverpool and Newcastle.
The 22-year-old was signed by Atletico for a club-record €126m (£113m) back in 2019 but manager Diego Simeone has struggled to integrate him into his team.
Felix has not played since the beginning of November, partly because of a muscular problem, but he has been available for the last two matches against Real Mallorca and Porto.
It is believed that Simeone would be prepared to offload the striker in January to raise funds for other signings, meaning the likes of Arsenal do have a real chance of securing his signature.
