Arsenal are interested in signing Barcelona midfielder Miralem Pjanic on loan, according to reports in the Catalan media.
Barca need to get players off the books to reduce their wage bill and they are willing to send the Bosnian international out on a temporary basis, as long as the club are prepared to take on his full salary.
Juventus are believed to be Pjanic’s preferred destination, but they need to other offload players first. The Gunners on the other hand are willing to do a deal now, with other Premier League clubs believed to be involved as well.
Tottenham and Chelsea are also reportedly in the running for the player, while other reports in Spain have mentioned Manchester United as being a possible contender.
A deal is likely to be agreed with a team soon, with Pjanic’s agent hoping to strike a deal this week. Whether that will happen, we shall have to wait and see.
