Arsenal have been offered former Porto and Lokomotiv Moscow striker Ze Luis, according to TEAMtalk.
The 31-year-old left Lokomotiv in controversial circumstances last month. After having his contract terminated, he accused the Russian side’s sporting director of lying about his fitness and forcing him out of the club.
As Ze Luis is now a free agent, though, he can join a team outside of the transfer window. With the Gunners having let Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang leave for Barcelona without finding a replacement, it is not surprising that agents are on the phone asking if they want their players.
The Cape Verde international was heavily linked with Tottenham back in 2020 before he made the switch to Lokomotiv but he has never really played in a top European league. On top of the fact that he has only made three appearances this season, you have to think Arsenal will steer clear.
TEAMtalk also report that Giresunspor and other Turkish clubs are pursuing Ze Luis so a move to the Super Lig does seem to be the likeliest possibility at the moment.
