Benfica striker Darwin Nunez has been linked with Arsenal recently but it is now believed that Manchester United, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are the favourites to land the Uruguayan.
With that being the case, the Express have said there are five other players that the Gunners have shortlisted as potential targets to strengthen their forward line.
Real Sociedad’s Alexander Isak has been on the club’s radar for a while but the Swedish international’s €90m (£75m) release clause could prove to be problematic.
Napoli’s Victor Osimhen has also been scouted by Arsenal, although reports in Italy claim that the Nigerian international’s team would likely demand in excess of £100m for him.
Lille’s Jonathan David would probably be a cheaper option, with the Canadian striker having expressed an interest in playing in England too. Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Chelsea’s Armando Broja are the final two names but it has been suggested that both have drifted down the pecking order in terms of priorities. We shall see which player Arsenal prioritise in the summer.
