Talks between Fiorentina and Dusan Vlahovic over a new contract have stalled, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
The respected Italian journalist reports a dispute with the Serbian’s agents over payments has led to the renewal being “blocked.”
Vlahovic is a target for both Arsenal and Tottenham, with Di Marzio having revealed the Gunners’ interest in the 21-year-old a couple of weeks ago.
Whether Mikel Arteta’s side are in a position to make a move for the striker before the transfer window closes though, it doesn’t seem likely.
Fiorentina are expected to demand at least €60m (£51m) for Vlahovic, and Arsenal may need either Alexandre Lacazette or Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to leave in order to free up space in the squad.
The failure to sell players has already led to Arsenal missing out on one forward. The London club were also interested in signing Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham but, despite the 23-year-old being interested in a switch to the Emirates, the player has decided to move to Roma instead.
