BT Sport pundit Rio Ferdinand believes Arsenal have finally found a team spirit that hasn’t been present at the club for many years.

The Gunners are currently on a ten-match unbeaten run in all competitions, which stretches back to the 5-0 defeat to Manchester City back in August, and Ferdinand thinks the team appears to be united more than ever:

“There’s a team, there’s a united team. There’s a togetherness that I haven’t seen at Arsenal for a long time.”

After that humbling loss at the Etihad Stadium, it seems that the squad rallied together. They have been pretty tight defensively, whilst they are now improving in the final third of the pitch as well.

It hasn’t been all plain sailing, having narrowly avoided defeat to Crystal Palace at home recently but, considering the Eagles won against City just a couple of games later, the 2-2 draw has to be put into some context.

Arteta’s side have had an easier run of games since September, though, and the trip to face Liverpool after the international break will be a test of their newly found togetherness.
