Feeble is the best way to describe Arsenal’s performance against Chelsea yesterday evening. It really wasn’t much of a contest, and considering it was the first time the Gunners had played in front of a full house at the Emirates for over 18 months, it was really disappointing to watch.

There were, of course, mitigating factors with a virus outbreak and injuries having left manager Mikel Arteta with a threadbare squad to choose from.

Even so, it is hard to see what the Spaniard is trying to do in terms of his game plan and the setup he was looking to employ last night. There are so many issues that need to be addressed ahead of the game against Manchester City.
