Former Aston Villa striker Marcus Allback says Juventus winger Dejan Kulusevski would be an excellent addition to Arsenal’s squad if the Gunners were to snap up the 21-year-old this summer.

Reports in Italy last week claimed that three Premier League teams, including Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool had all made approaches for the 21-year-old, and Allback thinks he would fit in very well at the Emirates:

“Arsenal would also be a good choice – they are in an interesting position with their rebuilding, and he would fit into the philosophy nicely with his age and style of play. He could go and be one of the stars in the team going forward.”

It does seem as though the Gunners’ chances of signing Kulusevski are rather slim. Juve snapped up the Swedish international for an initial €35m (£30m) eighteen months ago and they are not believed to be interested in selling at the moment.

The winger also plays in a position where Arsenal are pretty well stocked. His favoured role is on the right wing, cutting in from the flank onto his stronger left foot. With manager Mikel Arteta already having the likes of Nicolas Pepe and Bukayo Saka who can play in that position, signing someone like Kulusevski does not make a lot of sense, unless he was to be deployed in more central areas.
