Arsenal are keeping tabs on Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin, according to Eurosport journalist Dean Jones.

The reporter believes the 24-year-old has been on the club’s radar for a long time, and he could be someone that the Gunners make a move for, under the right circumstances, this summer.

“Arsenal have had interest in Calvert-Lewin for a little while now. We’ll have to see whether they are able to pursue that but, with a couple of people that I have been speaking to, that are well connected at Arsenal, his name always seems to crop up.”

“He’s never the headline they start talking about in terms of targets, but his name always crops up, and I think there is a lot of uncertainty around what happens with Calvert-Lewin.”

Jones claims that Juventus were also keen on the England international at the end of the season so there does appear to be some competition for the forward’s signature.

The Gunners are looking for a striker, with respected sources having linked them with Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham in recent days, but much will depend on whether the club can find a suitable buyer for Alexandre Lacazette. The Frenchman has less than a year remaining on his contract and he will be offloaded in the coming weeks if an interested team makes a satisfactory bid.
