Galatasaray are interested in signing Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny, according to reports in the Turkish media.
The Egyptian international has less than a year remaining on his contract at the Emirates and the January transfer window will be the last opportunity to sell the player.
Fans on Twitter have been asked whether the Gunners should dispense with Elneny’s service or hand him a new contract, with many backing the club to offload the 29-year-old:
He should have been sold for time…i don’t know why he’s still here

If we get approached, I think we have to sell. If he’s willing to go and we can get a deal done quickly and easily, it’s a no brained to me.

Elneny has made just two appearances for Arsenal this season. He played the full 90 minutes in the 6-0 win over West Brom in the Carabao Cup, before playing the second half of the 5-0 league defeat to Manchester City in August.
Since then, the Egyptian has been left out of three matchday squads. Considering his lack of minutes, it seems sensible to raise some funds from his sale in January and reinvest it into the playing squad.
Elneny spent a year out on loan in Turkey with Besiktas during the 2019/20 season so he would probably be open to a move to Galatasaray.
