Arsenal are interested in signing Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
The reliable journalist claims the Gunners have the Serbian international “in their sights” but his club are not willing to sell the player for less than €60m (£51m).
Vlahovic’s agent met with officials from Fiorentina last night to discuss the 21-year-old’s future. It is believed that signing a new contract and leaving the Serie A side are still both realistic possibilities.
Tottenham are also said to be keen on the forward, but it’s likely their interest is dependent on Harry Kane being sold to Manchester City.
With Inter Milan poised to sell Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea, the prospect of Arsenal signing Lautaro Martinez now seems very unlikely so Vlahovic appears to be their main alternative.
Funding the deal could still prove to be difficult, though, and the sales of Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah may be needed before the Gunners can table a formal offer.
