Arsenal centre-back Ben White missed the 2-1 win over West Ham last weekend due to a hamstring injury. Manager Mikel Arteta confirmed that the defender’s issue will need to be assessed but he didn’t give a timeframe as to when he will return to full fitness.

Thomas Partey says he is hopeful of returning from a thigh problem “soon”, raising hopes that he will be back for the North London derby next week. The midfielder has not played for the Gunners since the 3-0 defeat to Crystal Palace last month.

Bukayo Saka was taken off during the victory against the Hammers last Sunday but, while Arteta revealed that the winger is carrying a minor knock, he expects him to feature in upcoming matches.

Takehiro Tomiyasu is in the same boat. There were fears that the right-back had suffered another recurrence of a calf injury when he was substituted at the London Stadium, but it appears he will be available to take on Leeds this weekend.

Kieran Tierney will be sidelined for the rest of the campaign after undergoing knee surgery. The defender is expected to be back for the start of pre-season.
