Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta could have up to seven first-team players missing when the Gunners take on Liverpool in the Carabao Cup tomorrow night.
Bernd Leno has been the cup goalkeeper and, after doing nothing wrong against Nottingham Forest at the weekend, the German may keep his place ahead of Aaron Ramsdale.
With Takehiro Tomiyasu struggling to overcome a calf strain, Cedric may start at right-back. Gabriel has, though, served his suspension following his sending off versus Manchester City, so the Brazilian is expected to lineup alongside Ben White in the centre of defence. Kieran Tierney will almost certainly be recalled after Nuno Tavares was unceremoniously hauled off before half-time against Forest.
Arteta has very few options in the middle of the park, with Granit Xhaka having been struck down by the virus, so Charlie Patino could be selected with Albert Sambi Lokonga once again. Martin Odegaard will likely take up the no.10 role.
Up front, Alexandre Lacazette will come in to replace Eddie Nketiah, with Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli playing either side of the Frenchman.
Arsenal’s Predicted XI To Play Liverpool:
Leno, Cedric, White, Gabriel, Tierney, Lokonga, Odegaard, Patino, Saka, Lacazette, Martinelli
