Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson is expecting Arsenal to get back to winning ways against Brighton tomorrow afternoon.

The Gunners are still reeling from a poor 3-0 defeat to Crystal Palace on Monday night but Merson believes they will have too much for the Seagulls:

“I expect Arsenal to jump straight back on the horse and win this game after dropping three valuable points against Crystal Palace. Brighton should have beaten Norwich City last time around, but they failed to score and looked underwhelming for large parts of the game.”

Merson has gone with a 2-0 victory to Arsenal, which seems like a fair prediction, especially when you consider that Brighton have failed to score in six of their last seven Premier League matches.

With Kieran Tierney ruled out for the rest of the season, and Thomas Partey unlikely to be back in action for a number of weeks, manager Mikel Arteta will need to find solutions, with the Gunners short of options in key areas.

The Palace game did expose certain weaknesses but, with Brighton being in such poor form, it would be a big surprise if the home side don’t pick up all three points at the Emirates.
