Arsenal are preparing a new offer for Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez, according to Calciomercatonews.com.
The Italian website reports that the Gunners are willing to pay €35m (£30m), as well as including captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Lucas Torreira as part of the deal.
Aubameyang missed the London club’s opening league match against Brentford due to illness and there is growing speculation that the Gabonese international could be allowed to leave before the transfer window closes.
Torreira is not in manager Mikel Arteta’s first-team plans and the Uruguayan international is thought to be very keen on a return to Italy.
However, Calciomercatonews claim this new proposal is likely to be rejected by Inter, not necessarily because they don’t want to lose Martinez but due to the wages that Aubameyang would demand.
Inter’s financial situation means they cannot afford to add his £13m a year salary to their wage bill, especially if Torreira also joins the Serie A side.
