The agent of Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus says that he expects there to be more developments on the player’s future once he returns from international duty.

Jesus is currently with the Brazil squad, who have fixtures coming up against South Korea, Japan and Argentina, with the last match set to be played on June 11th. Marcelo Pettinati believes any transfer talks will be put on hold until then:

“At the moment we’re understanding all of the projects, so right now isn’t the time to say anything. Things will advance after his time with the national team.”

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has said consistently that Arsenal are lining up a bid for Jesus, but it appears that the Gunners will delay any approach to allow the Brazilian to focus on his national team.

Reports suggest that Mikel Arteta’s side will make an opening offer of around £35m, but City could hold out for as much as £55m. With Tottenham also said to be interested in the forward, though, Arsenal will be keen to ensure that negotiations for the player are swift.
