Aston Villa are expected to table a third bid, worth £32.5m, for Arsenal attacking midfielder Emile Smith Rowe, according to reports in England.
The playmaker has two years remaining on his contract at the Emirates but the Gunners are trying to tie him down to a longer-term deal, and they are not open to selling the player.
However, Villa have been persistent with their interest in Smith Rowe and some fans on Twitter are getting worried by the whole situation:
We are going to lose one of our best prospects to flipping villa. I don’t believe it

This is boring….if we sell to Villa it will be another mistake like Martínez and with Ødegaard committing to Real why would we sell?

It’s possible that Villa have been given encouragement from someone in Smith Rowe’s camp to make a bid, otherwise, it seems strange that they would continue to table offers, knowing that they would be rejected.
However, it could be that the 20-year-old’s agent is trying to use Villa in an attempt to put pressure on Arsenal to hand the midfielder a better deal. We shall see in the coming weeks how this all plays out.
