Brighton are now the third English Premier League club to register an interest in Celtic forward Odsonne Edouard, according to reports in the UK.
The Seagulls are said to be hopeful of beating Arsenal and Leicester to the Frenchman’s signature by offering guaranteed first-team football.
Edouard may not be first choice if he moves to the Gunners, who may only make an offer for the striker if they sell Alexandre Lacazette this summer. The likelihood of getting game time with the Foxes is even lower with both Jamie Vardy and Kelechi Iheanacho expected to be ahead of him in the pecking order.
No matter which club Edouard favours, though, the Hoops are keen to ensure they get a decent transfer fee for the player, despite his contract running down into its final year.
It is believed the Scottish club will demand a fee between £15m and £20m, but it will be hoped that the number of interested clubs could lead to the asking price being increased further.
