Celtic left-back Boli Bolingoli put in a standout performance for Istanbul Basaksehir against Manchester United in the Champions League yesterday evening.
The defender was sent out on loan to Turkey after the controversy surrounding his trip to Spain and his failure to quarantine. However, he demonstrated his attacking ability versus the Red Devils last night and Hoops supporters were impressed by what they saw:
Can we recall the loan early? ?

As long as he keeps skelping them we’ll get cash plus back…

Honestly, we dropped him for putting the season in jeopardy and he’s living it up beating United!

I would struggle to present any argument against this

Bolingoli did have his moments in a Celtic shirt but the overriding feeling was that he could not be relied upon defensively. That led to manager Neil Lennon favouring Greg Taylor instead of him and when the incident occurred earlier this season, the Hoops boss lost all trust in the player, who did not initially admit to travelling abroad.
With Istanbul Basaksehir having an option to buy the Belgian, it will be hoped that he continues to impress in order to push the Turkish club into signing him on a permanent basis.
