Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard has admitted that he will consider leaving Scotland to play in a bigger league but he has refused to put a timeframe on his potential departure.

The 22-year-old says he is currently focused on his performances for the Hoops and he hasn’t put too much thought into when he will be moving on from his current club:

“I’ve been here for three years, and for sure when the time comes I’ll think about leaving, look for a higher league. Right now I’m focused on this season and when the right time comes I’ll make the decision to go.”

Edouard will have one year remaining on his current deal next summer so, unless he puts his signature to an extension, this campaign is likely to be his last with the Scottish champions. However, when asked if a move to England or a return to France is on the cards, the forward replied:

“Honestly I haven’t really thought about it, I don’t know what the future holds.”

The likes of Arsenal, Aston Villa and Crystal Palace have all been linked with the France Under 21 international in recent weeks, but it seems clear that the player is currently focused on securing Celtic’s tenth league title in a row.
