Celtic are interested in snapping up Hamiton Academical centre-back Jamie Hamilton, according to TEAMtalk.
The website claims that the Hoops are just one of thirteen clubs who have taken a keen interest in the 19-year-old, with his contract at the Accies set to expire at the end of May.
Two other Scottish Premiership sides, Aberdeen and Hibernian, are also in contention to sign Hamilton but there is believed to be strong competition from teams south of the border.
Liverpool, Newcastle, Brighton, Burnley and Brentford are among the top-flight English clubs who are tracking the defender’s progress, while the likes of Middlesbrough, Blackburn, Blackpool, Barnsley and Sunderland are also reportedly monitoring the situation.
With Hamilton free to put pen to paper on a pre-contract agreement with any of these sides, Celtic will have a fight on their hands if they want to beat the competition to the teenager’s signature this summer.
