Celtic manager Neil Lennon has said that the extent of Jeremie Frimpong’s thigh injury has yet to be determined after he was taken off in the 4-1 win over Motherwell yesterday.

The Dutch defender will be assessed for ligament damage caused by a reckless challenge from Devante Cole, which only saw the forward given a yellow card.

Kristoffer Ajer had to be substituted 12 minutes from the end of the game at Fir Park with Lennon confirming after the match that the Norwegian international had suffered a recurrence of a groin problem. He is unlikely to play any games for Norway over the next week.

Christopher Jullien is slowly making his way back to fitness. The Frenchman has missed the last few weeks with a back injury but the defender could well be available again after the international break.

James Forrest has had surgery on an ankle fracture and will be out for at least a couple of months, but Mikey Johnston is back in training. The 21-year-old has not played for ten months after undergoing a knee operation and it may be some time before he returns to first-team action.
