Celtic attacking midfielder Ryan Christie missed a couple of gilt-edged chances in the woeful 1-0 defeat to Ross County yesterday evening.

The Scottish international was by no means the only poor player on the night but his form, in general, this season has left a lot to be desired, and fans on Twitter have run out of patience:

Starting Christie up front was an odd decision by manager Neil Lennon. The midfielder has struggled in front of goal this campaign, having only hit the back of the net five times in all competitions, so selecting him ahead of a more recognised striker, was questionable.

The player has not endeared himself to the fanbase, having been reluctant to sign a contract extension, and many feel that the 25-year-old’s mind is already elsewhere.

Based on last night’s performance, though, Christie may find it hard to attract a club who are willing to shell out on him.
