Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou has effectively ruled out Giorgios Giakoumakis from being involved against Ross County tomorrow.

The Greek international signed from VVV Venlo on deadline day last month but Postecoglou claims that the striker is not match fit and he will not be risked despite the injury sustained to Kyogo Furuhashi:

“Giorgios is a little bit further behind, he didn’t really do a pre-season with a team so we’ll probably be a bit more conservative with him because you know, obviously, with Kyogo going down, we’ll be a little bit light in that area so we’ll just going to be careful.”

Postecoglou was, however, much more positive on the fitness of new recruits Jota, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Liam Scales. All three are thought to be in good shape and there will be in contention for the matchday squad this weekend.

James McCarthy should also return from a knock, with the Irish international having missed the last two matches against AZ Alkmaar and Rangers.

There is not such good news on James Forrest. The winger has not been seen since the Europa League playoff first-leg win versus AZ, and Postecoglou says that, while he is back in training, he won’t be ready to face Ross County.
