Celtic left-back Greg Taylor was one of the standout players in the 3-0 win over rivals Rangers yesterday evening.
The Scottish international has been often criticised by supporters, with many believing the defender isn’t good enough to play for the club.
However, last night, Taylor put in one of his best displays in the green and white hoops, with most fans on Twitter admitting they had written off the 24-year-old too soon:
His movement going forward in the first half was unreal ended up with Diallo getting hooked as he didn’t get a sniff.

You watch the game mate, a £18million Diallo got hooked at half time as@he didn’t get a sniff. Along with his forward movement one of the best on the pitch

Absolutely. Totally nullified Diallo and his running forward opened up space for Jota and Hatate.

Been a big critic of him but he was excellent last night.

I’m a fan of Taylors I have to admit. I think he comes in for unfair criticism, he has his limits in terms of ability but he never hides, works incredibly hard and if he wasn’t the man to follow Tierney fans wouldn’t be on his back so much imo

I’ve been fairly critical of Taylor recently saying he offers next to nothing.
Yes, one match doesn’t change everything but it’s shown he’s got the ability.
If he can keep his levels close to this he’ll have made me eat my words & I’ll be absolutely delighted to do so.

Taylor was up against Amad Diallo in the first half; a player who could cost parent club Manchester United £37m if he manages to fulfil his potential. However, he didn’t get a look-in during the first half and he was hauled off at the interval.
That is a testament to Taylor’s defensive qualities, but he was just as dangerous when he was asked to get into the opposition half on the night, making some effective forward runs. Both Josip Juranovic and Taylor deserve massive credit for the shifts they put in.
