With the international fixtures out of the way, the attention will now swing back towards Celtic’s attempts to win their tenth league title in a row.
Despite David Turnbull having signed before the 3-0 win against Motherwell at the end of last month, he was an unused substitute against his former club and fans on Twitter believe he should now be given his debut against Ross County at the weekend:
Will Lennon play him

Once he gets in I think he will stay in , good young Scottish prospect with a gr8 future ?

He’s still got at least 3 months of bedding in and learning how to play centre half or striker.

Christie might be a doubt, play him there,

Needs to get up to match fitness

I can see him in for N’tcham.

I won’t be 1 but shocked if Duffy isn’t starting this weekend. These players seem to sign but takes them months to get “up to speed” with how we play or supposedly not 100% fit yet

Good to have options though isn’t it. Personally I.d let Ntcham go if he isn’t happy RC if he’s running his contract down too.

The good thing is for me that we see Brown getting more rest and keeping him fresh for the big games where concentration and defensive discipline is required. The games will be coming thick and fast between now and Christmas so everyone will get some good game time.

Turnbull does generally play in central midfield, and it will be interesting to see whether manager Neil Lennon changes personnel or even changes system in order to accommodate the 21-year-old.
The midfielder could slot in alongside Scott Brown, with Callum McGregor moving into a more advanced midfield role.
Alternatively, the Hoops could switch to three at the back and include Turnbull alongside McGregor and rest Brown. The club captain will certainly need to be rotated more than he has done in the past considering he is now 35 years of age.
