Ex-Celtic midfielder Alan Thompson has called on his former club to replace Neil Lennon as manager after the 1-1 draw against St Johnstone yesterday.
Lennon’s former teammate has previously criticised fans for their attacks on the Hoops boss, questioning whether any manager could have coped in this recent run of form, but he is now ready to see the Irishman leave Parkhead.
Supporters on Twitter are now glad Thompson is onside and they are hoping that Celtic’s board make a similar U-turn on their decision to keep faith with Lennon very soon:

It’s difficult to see how Lennon can survive, especially with so many former teammates and ex-players calling for his head. Not only Thompson but Chris Sutton has also said that the manager is living on borrowed time.
Currently, Lennon does have the support of the board but that may change before Celtic’s next game against Lille on Thursday.
