Chelsea have dropped to third in the Premier League after Saturday’s defeat to West Ham. While two wins, two draws and a loss in the last five league fixtures isn’t disastrous, there are concerns about the Blues’ form.
There were signs before the international break, with a draw against Burnley, that things weren’t completely right, and that has continued with the performances we saw against Watford and the Hammers specifically.
Title challenges are built on consistency and, although it can be argued that injuries have played a big part in Chelsea’s current form, there are some other problems that manager Thomas Tuchel also has to resolve.
