Chelsea forward Kai Havertz put in a rather ineffective display as the Blues battled to a 3-2 win over Leeds yesterday afternoon.
The German international was chosen to start up front ahead of Romelu Lukaku but found it hard to make an impact on the game.
Some fans on Twitter are rather concerned by Havertz’s lacklustre performances this campaign and they weren’t particularly impressed with his contributions against Leeds:
Absolutely shocking

He’s never been instrumental for us. Has had a handful of moments over the last 18 months

Shadow of the player we signed

To be fair to Havertz, he wasn’t given a great deal of service from his teammates but, even so, he didn’t have the sort of match that would justify keeping his place in the starting eleven.
The 22-year-old was wayward with some of his passing and, while he held up the ball well enough, he wasn’t causing that many problems for the opposition defence.
With Havertz now in his second season with the club, you would hope for a lot more than four goals and three assists in 21 appearances.
