Alan Shearer is among SEVEN BBC football pundits that believe Chelsea will win the Premier League this season.
The Newcastle legend has backed Thomas Tuchel’s side to finish top, with Manchester City in second, Manchester United third, and Liverpool in fourth.
Ex-Blues forward Chris Sutton also thinks his former club are favourites to lift the title, along with fellow pundits Rob Green, Sue Smith, Matthew Upson, Fara Williams and Rachel Brown-Finnis.
Overall, Manchester City are still seen as the team to beat by the majority of BBC’s football team, but even so, it demonstrates Chelsea’s resurgence under Tuchel that many see them as strong contenders.
The imminent arrival of Romelu Lukaku from Inter Milan is likely to be a game-changer in terms of the Blues getting results week in and week out. Last campaign, they struggled to find the back of the net consistently and that should not be a problem once the Belgian is signed.
