Aurelien Tchouameni has refused to be drawn on reports that he could be set for a transfer away from Monaco at the end of the season
Chelsea were heavily linked with the Frenchman before their recent ownership issues, and they could well go back in for him this summer if the takeover of the club has been completed by then. However, Tchouameni says he isn’t contemplating a move at this time:
“I did not ask myself this question. It is certain that I am not the same player since my arrival in Monaco. I passed caps but I worked for a long time to get where I am today. Quite honestly, I’m not focusing on what’s next. I continue to work and progress and we will see later.”
Over the weekend, it was claimed that Tchouameni had agreed personal terms with Real Madrid but that has subsequently been denied by the player’s agent.
In addition to the Blues and Real, the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City have all been mentioned as potential suitors for the 22-year-old.
While Tchouameni isn’t in a rush to leave his current club, it does appear as if he could be the subject of a number of bids in the coming months.
