Tottenham manager Antonio Conte claims that Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool are the four best clubs in the Premier League.

Conte believes that if one of these four is having a bad season, it is up to the likes of Spurs to take advantage of the situation so they can secure Champions League qualification:

“There are four teams that in my opinion in England are better than the others – I am talking about Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool. But if one of these four teams fail in the season and miss to stay in one of the four places, I think that now at this moment, Arsenal, Tottenham and West Ham need to be ready to try to stay until the end.”

There is no doubt which one of the four mentioned by Conte is faltering this season. Manchester United have had a wretched campaign and currently find themselves in sixth.

Blues boss Thomas Tuchel has been mentioned as a potential target for United as they look for a new permanent manager. In normal times, the German would not have been linked with the job at Old Trafford but Chelsea’s ownership situation has thrown the manager’s future into doubt.

However, recent reports have indicated that Tuchel is not even considering the Red Devils, with the 48-year-old very much committed to staying in London.
