Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech could be set for a move away from Stamford Bridge this summer, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

The Moroccan international has been a bit-part player this season, having made only 14 starts in the league, and Romano says the 29-year-old does have options to leave London.

“Hakim Ziyech is considered another player with chances to leave the club.”

After being signed for €40m (£33m) from Ajax in 2020, Ziyech has never really nailed down a place in Chelsea’s first team. Some of that is down to injuries but, even when fit, he hasn’t made the impact fans would have been hoping for.

In his 83 appearances for the Blues, Ziyech has scored 14 times and contributed 10 assists, which means he averages a goal contribution every 3.5 games. Contrast that with his time at Ajax (where he averaged a goal or assist every 1.3 games) and you can see why many see him as failing to live up to expectations. A move to Italy has been touted in the past so we shall see if that transpires over the coming weeks.
