Chelsea, Leicester and Newcastle are all interested in signing Everton left-back Lucas Digne during the January transfer window, according to reports in England.
The Frenchman, who has been capped 43 times by his country, has fallen out with Toffees boss Rafa Benitez and he is expected to leave Goodison Park next month.
With the uncertainty about when Ben Chilwell will return to full fitness, it seems the Blues are taking no chances and will look to snap up Digne to strengthen the left flank.
Marcos Alonso has struggled for form since being asked to deputise for Chilwell and manager Thomas Tuchel has even resorted to asking Saul Niguez to fill in at wingback on occasion.
Digne has played a handful of games in a three at the back system before and he is known to be an attacking fullback so he should be able to do a decent job in the absence of Chilwell.
