Chelsea are Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele‘s preferred destination if he leaves the La Liga club on a free transfer this summer, according to reports in the French media.
Barca are determined to offload the 24-year-old before the window shuts this evening, and there have been claims that Paris Saint-Germain could secure his signature, but no agreement has been reached.
Other teams, including Manchester United and Tottenham are also believed to be keen on Dembele and, while Spurs would be prepared to do a deal this month, the player is not interested in the transfer.
With that being the case, it is looking more and more likely that the Frenchman will move when his contract expires at the end of June.
If that happens, Chelsea are at the front of the queue, with Dembele said to be very interested in reuniting with Thomas Tuchel, who he worked with when he was at Borussia Dortmund.
