Chelsea are “in touch” with the representatives of Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele, according to TEAMTalk.
The France international, who is currently earning £200,000 a week at the Camp Nou, is out of contract next summer, and talks over a free transfer could begin in January.
Dembele has worked under Thomas Tuchel before at Borussia Dortmund, with the German managing the pacey winger during his final campaign at the Bundesliga club, so it is not a surprise that the Blues are interested.
The 24-year-old’s injury record is a major concern though. He has a history of hamstring problems and he hasn’t played a game so far this season.
Dembele is a very talented player, nonetheless, and the Blues are not the only team looking to snap up the Frenchman on a free next year.
TEAMtalk claim that Liverpool are very keen, while both Manchester City and Newcastle United are also said to considering approaches for the forward.
