Chelsea are willing to pay €60m (£51.2m) for Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni, according to reports in the Italian media.
Interest in the France international is growing fast, with the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City and Real Madrid having joined the Blues and Juventus in the battle for the player’s signature.
Thomas Tuchel’s side are, though, thought to be in the lead for Tchouameni, having done a lot of the groundwork over the past year.
Chelsea were first linked with the 21-year-old all the way back in January, with it being reported that the Blues’ recruitment department had been keeping a close eye on his progress.
Since the start of the year, though, Tchouameni’s stock has risen and risen. After making a big impression in the early weeks of the season for Monaco, he was handed his first senior cap by manager Didier Deschamps back in September. He has played six games for the national side so far.
