Chelsea are weighing up a possible move for Juventus forward Paulo Dybala, according to journalist Ian McGarry.
The Argentinian international will be available on a free transfer this summer and, with the Blues keen on adding goals in attack, McGarry claims the London club are considering an approach for the 28-year-old:
“It is Thomas Tuchel’s belief that they are overloaded with attacking midfielders who are not producing the goals that he would expect from players like Kai Havertz and Pulisic. Therefore Paulo Dybala at Juventus has come onto their radar with regards to moving to Stamford Bridge in the summer.”He’s someone who has interested many European clubs over the last year or so, having expressed some dissatisfaction with his playing time at Juve.”
Dybala has also been linked with Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham in recent weeks, with the Premier League’s ‘Big Six’ having reportedly been offered the player’s services.
Whether he would be the right fit for Chelsea, though, it is debatable. Dybala is not an out-and-out forward and, much like Kai Havertz, he prefers to play in a deeper role.
If the Blues were to offload the German, snapping up Dybala would make more sense, but it’s probably wise to take this story with a large pinch of salt. The Argentine isn’t exactly young and, with a pretty poor injury record, there are better options out there.
