Chelsea are no longer interested in signing Wolves winger Adama Traore, according to the Daily Telegraph‘s Matt Law.
Speaking on the London Is Blue podcast, the journalist said there has been a shift in the club’s transfer plans, meaning the Spanish international is not being considered as a new addition this summer:
“… Lukaku was fully preparing to stay at Inter for this coming season. He was aware of interest from Chelsea, but he hadn’t bargained on how strong … they were going to come in for him.” — @Matt_Law_DT

“They seem to have gone cold on Adama Traore who they were certainly interested in at the start of the summer and the back end of last season.”
Manager Thomas Tuchel was originally looking for a new right wingback, leading the Blues to make a move for Achraf Hakimi, with Traore said to have been a backup option.
However, the London club have now changed their focus towards signing a right-sided centre-back instead, which has led to them tabling an offer for Sevilla’s Jules Kounde.
The Frenchman’s pace means that Tuchel would not need to use Reece James as a right-sided centre-half, with the 21-year-old likely to be deployed more often as a wingback.
It does seem as though the plan is for Kounde to be the long-term replacement for captain Cesar Azpilicueta while James’s move further up the pitch negates the need for Traore.
