Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi had a night to forget as the Blues laboured to a 1-1 draw against Brighton yesterday evening.
The 21-year-old only completed 11 of his 23 passes, and he managed just one shot, before he was hauled off by manager Thomas Tuchel after 66 minutes.
Supporters on Twitter were very unhappy with Hudson-Odoi’s display, with many left wondering what the future holds for the player:
He was terrible

The bitter truth is that he can’t improve more then this, we are wasting our time given him game time.

Considering he had been excellent against Aston Villa, winning a penalty and setting up Romelu Lukaku’s goal, it was a surprise to see Hudson-Odoi perform so poorly versus Brighton.
Young players can be very inconsistent but you don’t have to look very far to see other wingers in the Premier League, such as Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka, who are a similar age but can perform well on a regular basis.
Hudson-Odoi can be an infuriating player to watch at times, and it remains to be seen whether he can develop into the ‘generational talent’ many hoped he would be.
