Chelsea youngster Jude Soonsup-Bell was given his debut by manager Thomas Tuchel in the 2-0 win over Brentford in the Carabao Cup yesterday evening.
The 17-year-old may have been subbed at half-time, but fans on Twitter were particularly impressed with Soonsup-Bell’s display:
Heading to the top!

Didn’t look out of place & worked hard. Think he made a good impression on Tuchel.

While he may not have stood out as much as teammate Harvey Vale on the night, Soonsup-Bell still looked sharp when linking up with his teammates.
It would have been good to see him get more service, and it was slightly disappointing that Tuchel opted to replace him with Christian Pulisic at the interval.
Even so, Soonsup-Bell does look like he will have a promising future at first-team level. With the virus making certain players unavailable for selection, the striker may have a part to play in upcoming matches, and his first appearance for the senior side suggests he won’t let anyone down if he is called upon again.
