Former Everton and Manchester United striker Louis Saha believes Richarlison has the ability to play for a team like Chelsea.
The Brazilian, who has 34 caps for his country, is currently involved in a relegation battle with the Toffees, and could well be on the move at the end of the season. Speaking about the forward, Saha claimed that Richarlison possesses the qualities to perform at the highest level:
“I don’t see any sides that wouldn’t have him. He’s a special player and no-one plays the way he plays. He’s always a danger and I can see any side from the top, Chelsea or Liverpool, wait not Liverpool! Obviously joking. For sure a team in the Premier League will be looking, but I hope Everton manage to keep that kind of player because he’s the star.”
Chelsea could actually do with another wide forward to supplement the attack. Timo Werner is expected to leave Stamford Bridge in the summer, while Hakim Ziyech and Christian Pulisic’s injury problems mean manager Thomas Tuchel does not always have that many options available to him up front.
Of course, any new signings will have to wait until a takeover happens but, if Everton are relegated from the Premier League this campaign, there will be a fair few teams keen on snapping up Richarlison.
