Chelsea’s Reece James and N’Golo Kante are both back in full training ahead of Saturday’s game against Brentford.
While Kante’s return after recovering from the virus is not a surprise, seeing James back available was more unexpected, considering the fullback had been ruled out of international duty, having sustained an ankle injury against Manchester City last month.
Supporters on Twitter are very happy to see both players on the training field ahead of the Blues’ next game this weekend:
His injury didn’t look good. I think he’s made an early return which is huge boost.

While James’ and Kante’s return is a massive boost, there are still concerns about Christian Pulisic’s fitness (who has been out for the best part of a month), as well as Romelu Lukaku and Antonio Rudiger.
Both Lukaku and Rudiger sustained minor injuries whilst away playing for their countries and it will be hoped that they will be ready to start when they travel to face the Bees in just three days’ time.
