Chelsea legend John Terry is backing Leicester to finish fourth ahead of Manchester United this season.

It must be pointed out that the ex-Blues captain was speaking before the Red Devils’ 5-1 win over Leeds yesterday, but when asked to predict his top four, the 40-year-old said that either his former club or Manchester City will finish top, with the Foxes taking the final Champions League place:

“I’d go Chelsea, Man City as first or second, I’d go Leicester fourth and I will go Liverpool third.”

Terry’s reasoning for leaving out United was due to the fact he felt that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side may struggle for goals, with Marcus Rashford sidelined with a shoulder injury and Edinson Cavani not getting any younger.

Following the Red Devils’ convincing victory against Leeds, though, he may well have a change of heart, but his top four prediction is certainly interesting nonetheless.

After Chelsea’s 3-0 win over Crystal Palace, though, Terry will undoubtedly be even more confident that his former team can finish top of the league this campaign.
