Juventus are willing to table a bid worth €20m (£16.7m) plus Adrien Rabiot for Chelsea midfielder Jorginho, according to reports in the Italian media.
Rabiot has worked with Thomas Tuchel before at Paris Saint-Germain, with the German having stated in the past that he enjoyed working with the France international.
Even so, the 26-year-old would arguably be a downgrade on Jorginho, considering he has struggled to make an impact at Juve since moving from PSG back in the summer of 2019.
Jorginho’s contract situation does complicate matters, though. The midfielder will have just one year left on his current deal in the summer and it would, therefore, not be surprising if the Blues were open to some sort of part exchange.
The 30-year-old’s agent has spoken out on a number of occasions about the player’s desire to return to Italy, with Juve being an attractive destination. It remains to be seen whether the Old Lady will actually make a concrete offer in the coming months.
