Borussia Monchengladbach are expected to offload Marcus Thuram for between £10m and £15m this summer, according to The Athletic‘s David Ornstein.
The reliable journalist claims that the Frenchman is a player that has been “admired” by Chelsea in the past. At the time, it was believed the Blues were put off by his representatives but he has switched agencies since then.
Other Premier League teams, including Arsenal and Tottenham, have also looked at Thuram and there could be a fair few other clubs pursuing his signature considering he is available for such a low price.
Gladbach fear losing the 24-year-old for nothing when his contract expires at the end of next season so it is seen as a great opportunity to snap up a promising young player.
Whether Chelsea will get involved will, of course, depend on the ownership situation being resolved before the transfer window opens in the summer.
